Grass Hut Oolong

A delicious, light-roasted oolong made of the qing xin oolong varietal, grown on Yu Shan (Jade Mountain) and expertly charcoal-roasted in Nantou.

The light roast gives it a lovely popcorn-like flavor, and the bright high-mountain oolong floral character comes out in the following cups with readily apparent hui gan. You could compare it to Dong Ding oolong, but it lacks that famous tea’s more complex bruising and processing. This is closer to a high-mountain green oolong.
